Fund Raising

The Saint Thomas Fund Raising Team would like to thank you for your continued support throughout the year, with respect to the Mortgage Campaign Initiative to payoff our debt. It is very much appreciated. However Brothers and Sisters, the Church is still counting on your continual support in the days and months ahead; as we have yet to reach the mountain top. We know that “God loves a cheerful giver”, and your support can carry the Church to this goal.

The Pennies from Heaven Campaign is back by popular demand, and the jars are located on the: (1) usher’s table; (2) the balcony; and (3) in the front of the church by the pulpit. 

  Video tapes are now available of our Sunday Morning Services, for the cost of $15.00. Contact Mickey Beals to place your order, all cheques and money orders should be made payable to Saint Thomas Baptist Church.

Good day my brothers and Sisters in Christ, as most of you are aware we have completed some major renovation on the church; the Mortgage on this building is a substantial amount. We are canvassing every house and resident in North Preston and the broader Halifax Municipality for a Financial Donation.

Individually it is a large number but if we put God first in this endeavour, he will open up the windows of heaven and shower us with his goodness,

When I look over the church congregation and the community of North Preston with the help of God this initiative is achievable providing we all work together. Keep in mind He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. No task is too big for God and his servants.

This is the only building we have located in this community we can call our own; they have taken away the Community Centre the School. One way or another we will all enjoy the cozy confines of this beautiful building, be it for a regular Church, Wedding or A Funeral Service which God has blessed us with. He has mush more in store for us; there are still many souls to be saved.

We are looking for a monetary contribution from everyone, as God has commissioned you to build up his kingdom here at St. Thomas Baptist Church.

We will also be contacting community members that were raised in the community and relocated to other cities. If you have any family members who have moved out of the community we would appreciate you providing us with their phone number and their current address, your support will be greatly appreciated.

Our goal is to have Mortgage burning ceremony at candle light service in December 2011.
