From the Pastors Heart

As we partake of these blessed emblems today, let us remember that our Lord’s life from Bethlehem to Calvary, fulfilled the purpose of his heavenly Father.
That purpose was to glorify the Father and to finish the work of God gave him to do. That to Jesus was a labor of love. Let us during these sacred moments, commit ourselves anew to glorify our Lord and Savior through our lives.

A. S. A. P.
There’s work to do, deadlines to meet;
You’ve got no time to spare.
But as you hurry and scurry –
A.S.A.P. – Always Say A Prayer

In the midst of family chaos
“Quality time” is rare
Do your best; Let God do the rest –
A.S.A.P. – Always Say A Prayer

It may seem like your worries
Are more than you can bear
Slow down and take a breather –
A.S.A.P. – Always Say A Prayer

God knows how stressful life is;
He wants to ease our cares,
And He’ll respond to all your needs
 A.S.A.P. – Always Say A Prayer
~~~~~~
Do not ask the Lord to guide your footsteps, if you’re not willing to move your feet.
What time is it? It is time for everyone who claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ to awake from the sleep of indifference and disobedience. It is time for us to become alert and responsive to the command of our Lord and to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. It is time for us to be in the field working for the Lord.
As we partake of the elements of the Lord’s Supper, let us be reminded of the awful nature of our sins that made it necessary for Jesus to die as a substitute in our place. Let us be overwhelmed with gracious wonder of God’s love for us. As willingly and as completely as Jesus Christ gave Himself,
let us give ourselves in service to him for others.
Because He died for us, let us live for Him.
Healthy families are no accident. They are built under the authority of God’s word, in the fellowship of his Church, and in a community where people encourage one another in healthy living. Let’s build our families on the sure foundation our Lord Jesus Christ.
When we give expression to the joy and gratitude of our hearts and when we give voice to praise for God, if these are genuine, they will create hunger and thirst in the hearts of our home folk to come to know Jesus Christ also. The man who had been demon possessed did what Jesus asked. Luke 8:38-39. He went home and shared the good news of what God had done for him. Let each of us follow his example.
Let no person think that he or she will not experience trouble. There are no exceptions. When trouble come, we must view them correctly, respond to them directly, and look with confidence to God, from whom our help comes
As individuals, we can expect to have a better year only by being better people. At the end of the old year and at the beginning of the New Year, let us make spiritual resolutions that will be meaningful to our lives and to the lives of those around us. Let us look toward the upcoming year with a high degree of spiritual expectancy, seeing the next twelve months as a challenge. Let our motto during the coming year be for me to live in Christ (Philippians 1:2-17)
This year let us really put Christ into Christmas  by making him the focal point around which all of out our celebration take place. Let us give our praise and adoration. Let us remember why Christ emptied him self of heaven’s glory in order to come down among sinful  people and later die for them. Let us return to the joy of real gift giving at Christmas, giving the greatest of all gifts, Christ Jesus himself, and be blessed during this Christmas season.
When God’s word dwells in you, it makes you a new kind of person. The word of God cannot dwell in the same life where deceitfulness, sin, and rebellion dwell. Let the word of Christ dwell you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Colossians 3:16-17
The Psalmist said, I have laid up thy word in my heart, that I might not sin against thee, (Psalm 119:115). We can only deposit God’s word in our heart by studying it. We should study it for the good of our spiritual life as regularly as we eat food for the good of our physical life. May God bless each of you as you let the word of God have a greater place in your life.
